Vintage Etsy Valentines

Last week, I did an Etsy "Vintage Valentines Day" search and found these wonderful little gems:
From top left right....
1.Scarlet's Boudoir Lamp From Fashionrerun: It's a beautiful big-eyed posey doll AND a lamp! Simply AMAZING!
2.My Funny Valentine VERA Scarf From Theluckyfish: Vintage VERA=chic, bold and clean, classic modern design.
3.Vintage 1930's Valentine From EveryMemoryRepeats: If Mary Engelbreit got in a time machine set the dial for the 1930's, she would have made this card. So colorful and cute!
4.Vintage Honeycomb Valentine From MariesVintage: A little valentine that is full of fluffy sweet, marshmellowy goodness!
5.Vintage Red Lace Blouse From Greygardensvintage: Ooh La La...red, lacy and very sexy... in a prim and proper, naughty librarian sorta way.
6.Hot Air Baloon Valentine From Bostonbaglady: I keep hearing "Up Up And Away....In My Beautiful Baloon" when I look at this sweet valentine. Simply adorable!
7.Red Tuxedo Ruffle Shirt From Shopgoodgrace: A timeless vintage classic- so elegant and ladylike.
8.Owl Know You're Mine Valentine From TheIDconnection: I have a soft spot in my heart for any and all vintage owls...this little hooter cracked me up with his silly but sweet message.
9.Pinup Nightgown With Ruffles From DewberryVintage: I could see myself lounging in this lovely gown, on my bed with red satin sheets, wearing maribu feather heels, eating bonbons...
10.BE MINE Vintage Valentine Sign From Bluebellbazaar: Such a neat idea...to recycle vintage cards into a sign! I especially love the red, glittery edges- it adds just the right finishing touch.
11.You Chute Be My Valentine From Ricracandbuttons: Great play on words...and the little girl is 100% adorable.
12.Out Of This World Valentine From Ricracandbuttons: Such cute vintage graphics! When you open it up it says "I'm flying high".

Vintage Asian On Etsy

There is so much vintage goodness showing up on Etsy lately! The other
night, I went wild, favoriting Vintage Asian and wanted to share some of
my finds with you!
The aqua colored mid century modern sofa is kind of pushing the Asian
theme to its outer limits-sorry about that. However, I still think it goes
beautifully with Vintage Asian design! Wish I had an extra $5,500! ...or
even better...I wish I could find a sofa like that at auction or the thrift store
for $50-100....it could happen! ;-)
1.Vintage Japanese Paper Lantern- from Penndutchman's shop $9.99:
How beautiful would it be to hang a bunch of these Japanese paper
lanterns in your home? I'm always transported into a wonderland
type of a feeling when I see large groupings of these clustered
together.
2.Vintage Feather Bird Framed Art- from Vintagethisretrothat's shop $9.:
I've seen these in person at auction and have always admired them.
They're made out of paper and real feathers. The colors and carved
frames on this pair are gorgeous. I can see why they sold so fast!
3.Asian Lantern Shaped Tea Tin- from HotDoggerStuff's shop $7.25:
A beautiful aqua colored vintage tin...so perfect for storing not only
tea, but also art and craft supplies as well.
4.Japanese Painted Parasol- from Sweetshorn's shop $36.:
That warm, inviting and exotic glow is what drew me in to this one.
This parasol would look so lovely, hanging from the ceiling, with a soft
light shining through it.
5.Stack of Asian bowls- from Grandmaschestofglory's shop $22.:
A sweet matching set of vintage Asian rice bowls. Bowls like this
are so handy for using around the house and beautifully storing
keys, makeup, supplies, desk stuff etc...
6.Black Lacquered Japanese photo album- from Roseluv's shop $15.:
I actually found one of these a few weeks ago at the thrift shop and
passed on it because the inside needed a little repair work. Now,
I wish that I had purchased it. :-(
7. Geisha Paint By Numbers- from Sweethorn's shop $24.:
Paint by numbers are usually such tacky subject matter, but this
one has a certain elegance to it.
8.Quilted Vintage Asian Jacket- from Mesvanity's shop $32.:
I am in love with the colors, texture and overall shiny wonderfulness
of this vintage jacket! It is so visually rich and vibrant!
9.Vintage Painted Panel Purse from- ShesFancy's shop $24.:
What a beautiful hand painted purse...it's almost too lovely and
delicate to use. I wouldn't want to mess it up.
10. Vintage Lovebirds Wall Pocket- from Goodlookin's shop $9.75:
My heart melted when I saw these cute little birdies...awwwww...
11.Red Bamboo Wall Mirror- from Fabulousmess's shop $150.:
I LOVE this mirror- Any room would benefit from a bright pop of
Chinese red!
12.Mid Century Modern Sofa- from Johnnyvintage's shop $5,500.:
A rare vintage find...this sofa is in pristine, like new condition!
The previous owner put a vinyl plastic cover on it...I remember
my Grandma plasticizing all of her sofas too...it felt really weird
and uncomfortable slipping and sliding on them! ...but now her
old sofas that she took such loving good care of, are probably
making some vintage furniture lover very happy. ;-)

LOVE This Wrapping Paper
I found this wrapping paper at the DOLLAR TREE Store! I freaked out and did a double take when I saw it and proceeded to snap up almost every roll of it! This paper reminds me so much of the vintage wrapping paper that I love and hoard.
Check your local Dollar Tree...they might have some too! It comes in super wide 30 sq ft rolls...quite a deal! Yay for cheap thrills! :-)

Christmas Deer
I thought last week would be free of distractions and I would have time to update my shop, but I had forgot that I still hadn't decorated or shopped for Christmas, which took up A LOT of my time. :-(
Hope all of you are having a lovely holiday season! I've posted some new photos of vintage Christmas goodies over at Fickr for your enjoyment. :-)
